Eyvi’s Supplier code of conduct

Eyvi is committed to high standards of integrity and sustainability and expects the same sound business practices from its suppliers and sub-contractors. This supplier code of conduct describes the principles and standards Eyvi’s suppliers and sub-contractors must uphold. As a supplier you must comply with all the applicable national and international laws and regulations, the principles set out in this supplier code of conduct and your contractual obligations to Eyvi.

Eyvi’s supplier code of conduct is based upon the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the ILO Conventions on Labour Rights, as well as other ILO Conventions such as nr. 94, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR), the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) and the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention.

Who does the supplier code of conduct apply to?

This supplier code of conduct applies to companies that supply products and/or services to Eyvi. This includes suppliers, sub-contractors, and their respective employees (hereinafter referred to as “supplier(s)”).

Eyvi Values

Eyvi’s core values are to be visionary, passionate, responsible, open and friendly. Our employees are driven by passion as we continuously push limits with a clear vision of how to shape a more sustainable future. Eyvi’s employees stay open-minded and embrace the unexpected. Eyvi seeks to provide a friendly and inclusive culture that promotes shared thoughts and ideas. Trust and transparency are the foundation of all our business relations.

Human rights

The supplier must comply with all applicable laws and respect internationally recognized human rights, wherever they operate. In the rare situation that national law directly conflicts with international standards, companies should seek ways to honor the principles of internationally recognized human rights.

Labor practices

The supplier respects the rights of all employers and all workers to establish and join groups for the promotion and defense of their occupational interests freely and voluntarily. The supplier also recognizes the right of all workers to engage in collective bargaining.

Both workers and employers have the right to set up, join and run their own organizations without interference. All, including employers, have the right to freedom of expression and opinion, including on the topic of unions – provided that the exercise of this right does not infringe a worker’s right to freedom of association.

The supplier is committed to the elimination of all forms of forced labor and compulsory labor. If evidence of forced or compulsory labor is found, the supplier must have routines and procedures in place to deal with the negative impact on human rights, with the aim of achieving the best possible outcome for those concerned.

The supplier is committed to the effective abolition of child labor. Furthermore, the supplier recognizes and adheres to the ILO conventions Minimum Age Convention No. 138 and the Worst Forms of Child Labour Convention No. 182 that provide the framework for national law to prescribe a minimum age for admission to employment.

If evidence of child labor is found, the children need to be removed from the workplace and provided with viable alternatives. These alternatives may include but are not limited to, enrolling the children in schools, and offering income-generating alternatives for the parents or above-working age members of the family.

The suppliers’ business activities shall be conducted without discrimination, irrespective of race, color, sex, religion, political opinion, national extraction, social origin, age, disability, trade union membership, and sexual orientation.

Health and safety

Suppliers commit to prioritize health and safety measures. Suppliers must have adequate routines and systems in place to minimize health and safety risk in the work environment.

Environment

The supplier commits to undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility. The Rio Declaration states that businesses have the responsibility to ensure that activities within their own operations do not cause harm to the environment.

The supplier commits to using environmentally sound technologies, as defined in Agenda 21 of the Rio Declaration. The technologies should aim to protect the environment, are less polluting, use all resources in a more sustainable manner, recycle more of their wastes and products and handle residual wastes in a more acceptable manner than the technologies for which they were substitutes.

Safeguard animal welfare

The supplier ensures good animal welfare practices, by undertaking and documenting appropriate risk assessments and measures, to minimize potential animal welfare impacts of goods and services.

Business ethics

The supplier commits to avoid and work against any form of corruption, including extortion and bribery. Eyvi does not tolerate any form of corruption and any suspicion or violation related to Eyvi should be reported through the appropriate channels.

Boycott of and sanctions against, countries or companies

Eyvi will refrain from buying goods and services from a country when sanctions have been implemented by the United Nations. Furthermore, Eyvi will avoid doing business with companies when there is broad consensus to boycott due to negative social, environmental, or ethical effects. We expect our suppliers to apply a similar policy.

Inspections

Eyvi reserves the right to assess suppliers to verify their compliance with supplier code of conduct. Any non-compliance with the principles outlined in this document must result in immediate corrective actions by the supplier. After which Eyvi will be informed about any such actions.

Compliance

In the event of serious or repeated non-compliance, Eyvi has the right to terminate any contracts with the supplier. Such termination shall be effective from the time stated in a written termination notice from Eyvi.

Acknowledgement

The supplier hereby agrees to adhere to the principles of the Eyvi supplier code of conduct and will require the same of its sub-contractors.
